A few years ago WIRED magazine published an interesting article about space memorabilia, collectors and regular space buffs who like to own “flown-in-space” material or stuff signed by astronauts. That article caught our attention at the time since we had been offering “pieces of space adventure” since 2005 through Soyuz Messenger bags and t-shirts . I met a many astronauts since I started offering Soyuz space landing parachute products and I was always surprised by customers’ reactions. I remember meeting with Don Petitt early one morning at our booth in Vancouver during the Aeronautics and Space Conference and be amazed at how approachable astronauts are in general.
In 2005 I started offering Soyuz space parachute bags and accessories to space memorabilia collectors, space exploration amateurs and even astronauts (space shuttle pilots have our bags!). You can hang an autographed picture in your office but we think that it is actually more fun to carry around an actual piece of space artifact as a bag or a t-shirt......
I thought it was ironic that the article talked about "owning space memorabilia" since we had been offering space-flown items for years “democratizing” the ownership and use of space memorabilia.
For those of you interested in space exploration, the International Space Station or anything relating to space we invite you to take a look at our product collection featuring Soyuz Space T-shirts with actual pieces of Soyuz landing parachutes from MIR and International Space Station missions.
